8 killed by Israeli bombing in central Gaza: sources

GAZA, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) — At least eight Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential home in the Al-Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources reported on Tuesday.
Local sources and eyewitnesses informed Xinhua that Israeli warplanes targeted a home located near the Ahli Club within the camp. Medical personnel confirmed that the Israeli raid resulted in eight deaths and several injuries with the wounded transported to Al-Awda Hospital in the camp.
The Israeli military has not yet commented on the incident.
Israel has been launching a large-scale offensive against Hamas in Gaza to retaliate against a Hamas rampage through the southern Israeli border on Oct. 7, 2023, during which about 1,200 people were killed and about 250 taken hostage.
